Description

Following the workshop on Open Science Cloud held in Bari - Nov 13, the EGI-Engage project organizes a meeting dedicated to research communities and to the topic o fServices and Policies for Open Science: "Open Science user stories". Different user communities will be represented (citizen science, international research collaborations, Research Infrastructures) as well as community platform operators. Purpose of the meeting is to discuss Open Science use cases and policies, i.e. which digital services including cloud services and policies research communities will be beneficial to advance Open Science in various scientific domains. The meeting will be an opportunity to:

1- discuss the outcomes of the High Level Expert Group consultation on the European Research Open Science Cloud, a new initiative of the EC, and develop a common vision and action plan, and its implementation recommendations

2- define common challenges that Research Infrastructures, EGI, other e-Infrastructures (and the Open Science Cloud of the future) should tackle together, and advance the technical roadmap of EGI

3- discuss  collaborations - gather input to the Dutch Presidency conference on Open Science on April 4-5 in Amsterdam.

The workshop is meant to be technical and interactive.

TIPS FOR ACCOMODATION

Luckily there are a lot of options, when you want to stay a bit in the Science Park area, The Manor Hotel could be one: hampshire-hotel-the-manor-amsterdam

Otherwise you can look in the area of the Central Station (through Booking.com), from there you can take a direct train to Science Park station.

A different option could be at Amsterdam Station Sloterdijk, the Mercure Hotel can provide good offers: mercure-amsterdam-sloterdijk-station

From Station Sloterdijk you can also take the train to Station Science Park (20 minutes).
