EGI Technical Support for ENVRI+ use cases workshop

The overall goal of this workshop is to provide a first line of support, know-how and expertise, to analyse the use cases requirements and setup a roadmap for supporting the scientific community activities.

During the workshop, the requirements of different use cases will be analysed and solutions about how EGI Federated Cloud  technologies could be used to deploy the implementation services will be provided. Infrastructure Research Communities will also have opportunities to discuss potential usages of High Throughput Computing resources and Data Federation tools to address the community problems beyond the use cases.

The workshop is open to anyone interested to get familiar with IT-based technologies and solutions to design and develop e-Infrastructures for emerging scientific communities.

The workshop is free of charge.

Audience
The interactive workshop is intended for:

• ENVRI+ use case providers;
• e-Infrastructure providers;
• Members of the agile groups involved in the implementation of the ENVRI+ use cases;
• Research Infrastructures interested to get familiar with e-Infrastructures technologies to address emerging research challenges.

16:30 → 17:40 Break-out groups - Designing community-specific e-infrastructures

Forming break-out groups to analyse and further discuss the e-infrastructure use cases. The use case analysis will be based on pre-defined templates to be provided by workshop organisers. The outcome of the analysis will be e-infrastructure design and e-infrastructure implementation plans. These will be presented to the audience at the end of the day, and will drive post-workshop implementation work.
