OPS VOMS MANAGEMENT MEETING 11/01/2011 11/01/2011 Participants: D. Collados, T. Ferrari, E. Imamagic, K. Koumantaros, P. Solagna . CERN committed to run the OPS VOMS service during the EGEE-EGI transition, now that this is almost over, David - after discussion with Maite - requests that this service is migrated too. Tiziana asks David to discuss this with Ian Bird to make sure that WLCG management agrees and is informed. . David: the OPS VOMS service is under the administration of another group, and David will put EGI in contact with the CERN staff responsible of the service, to technically discuss all the implications of the migration. The VOMS service has a ORACLE backend, and is based on VOMSRS, but this needs to be verified in detail with CERN staff. . David suggest that also the OPS VO management is handed over to EGI. . Tiziana: the migration has to be handled carefully in order to avoid tools and availability statistics are affected. The support of CERN is requested during the transition. . Emir: the DTEAM VOMSRS service could also host OPS . Kostas: the migration of data is complex but is the easiest part of the transition. Sites need to be pro actively followed up to ensure a swift reconfiguration of services. Update after the meeting. I have checked the CERN/SRCE bid and indeed the OPS VOMS service is not mentioned in the CERN offer. SUMAMRY ACTION 1: David to get in contact with the VOMS service administrators and provide information on the current configuration of service ACTION 2. At the OMB in Amsterdam (Jan 24-25) Kostas Emir Peter Tiziana and COD staff will discuss on how to proceed with the migration and on how to distribute responsibilities. Tiziana
