Description
Among the Big Data to be offered are massive multi-dimensional arrays, commonly called "datacubes". In the H2020 EOSC-hubb project, a datacube service is being established for long satellite image timeseries. The European Sentinel family of satellites delivers several Terabytes per day, hence the resulting datacubes one per satellite instrument, are of considerable size. Still the service aims at interactively querying these datacubes as much as possible.
The underlying technology is centered around rasdaman, the European Datacube engine; all rasdaman components are specifically developed and optimized for large array processing. Among the features of this highly scalable engine are query compilation into CPU and GPU code, distributed processing, transparent data center federations.
In this demo we show the EOSC-hub datacube service plus several other services highlighting multi-dimensional datacube querying and visualization.
