Matthew pointed out that sustainabilility is central to the services, with no planned project funding for service delivery from 2021. WLCG and EGI are working on updating their MoU. both EGI and WLCG are mutually profiting of the collaboration Jerome: (slide 8) last column? Matthew pointed out that the last column is complimentary to the previous one, showing EOSC-Future project funding for development alongside EGI funding. regarding the 25% unfunded effort: this was discussed with all of the partners, and agreed Oxana: some concerns from some agencies that there is double funding of the same activities within WLCG and EGI activities Dave: the funding agency are not paying twice the same thing, there are complimentary activities. If the core services weren't funded within EGI, they would need to be funded in WLCG (and other communities like SKA) Matthew suggest that this can be clarified by clearer marketing/publicity ================================ Cloud Badge status ================================== Valeria Ardizzone provided an update about the cloud badge status, showing which sites kept the same badge or changed it it is still an internal tool, the purpose is to make it to be more widely available. Any remaining concerns over the badging criteria should be raised at the OMB meetings or on the mailing list. ================================ Security updates ================================ Sven Gabriel gives an update on the latest security incidents occurred and vulnerabilities announced =================================== Grid Middleware with Ansible and Puppet ===================================== Jerome Pansanel gives an introductory talk about a topic that will be discussed more deeply during a dedicated session at the upcoming EGI Conference The idea is to lunch a new activity on providing configuration recipes and best practices in a central repository for grid and cloud middleware not yet working with early adopters, just started discussing this with EGI Operations and URT inside NGI_FRANCE many sites are interested in having such a repository ========== AOB ========== Storage accounting (proposed by Jerome) - still on dev portal to move on production portal, should be completed by the end of EOSC-hub project - WLCG now providing SRR script: any interaction with the EGI Accounting? Adrian Coveney said that at the moment we need both (SRR and STAR accounting) in the future we will be able to import the same data. There can be further discussions over this during the Core Services roadmap discussions at the EGI Virtual Conference.
