Accounting Workshop We are planning to hold a workshop on accounting at the EGI Technical Forum in Amsterdam on the Wednesday afternoon (15th September). The outputs will feed into the development plans for accounting in EGI and EMI. The plan is to cover three broad areas.:- A. The existing Central Accounting Service and its evolution over the next year. This part will be informative and will lay out expectations for NGIs wishing to run a distributed repository or move an existing one to publish via ActiveMQ. B. Gathering requirements for developments of the existing service for accounting cpu usage. Typically these might involve additions to the schema or changes in how the data are presented in the portal. Local accounting and MPI would also be relevant. C. Gathering requirements for accounting of other resources. Examples already mooted include application use, storage, networking and clouds. If you are interested in attending please get in touch and tell me why you would like to attend. e.g as an NGI seeking planning information; as someone who runs an accounting system you wish to interface; someone with requirements to present; some other reason; or just out of general interest in the subject. We will use the input to tune the agenda, not to control attendance. John Gordon, STFC, john.gordon@stfc.ac.uk
