EGI-INDIGO workshop on community application support

This interactive workshop will support the integration and development of science community applications with e-infrastructure services. The event will bring together representatives of scientific communities, projects, Research Infrastructures with the e-infrastructure service providers of EGI and INDIGO-DataCloud.

Workshop participants will analyse the use cases that participating scientific representatives bring to the event and in small, collaborative working groups will define and start the integration of these with suitable e-infrastructure services and tools.

This workshop is a third edition in the ‘Design Your E-infrastructure’ event series (1st event, 2nd event). This time the focus is on scientific community applications that already demonstrated initial integration with EGI and/or INDIGO-DataCloud services and should move to more mature setup.

What will we get out of the workshop?

  • Implementation plans for the integration of community-specific applications with e-infrastructures
  • Codes and service configurations that validate feasible integration options of community applications and e-infrastructure services
  • Answers to participants' questions concerning EGI and INDIGO-DataCloud capabilities
  • Better understanding of the participating scientific use cases
  • Social network formed between application and e-infrastructure service providers
  • Gaps in e-infrastructure offerings, and service candidates to fill these gaps

The workshop is organised for

  • Scientific project, research infrastructures, research communities or SMEs who would like to setup, access or operate community applications on e-infrastructures.
  • Technology and service providers from e-infrastructure communities. These providers will engage with the use cases through the break-out sessions.
