There are some conclusions drawn today during the lunch:
* PROC16 and a deadline for downtime
- it is already documented in step 7 of the procedure that sites risk
suspension if 1 month after passing a deadline they still fail to update
their services. In downtime or not - this rule applies.
- such sites should be escalated to NGI Manager and a summary send to
the COO. We suggest NGI managers should report to the OMB about the
progress not the COD. It is a NGI responsibility to have the site
updated not COD. We believe reporting to OMB (whether in person or
e-mail) could make the NGI managers feel more responsible and proactive
for that task.
* Missing or incomplete ROD data in GOCDB
- currently the source of ROD e-mail address is Operations Portal which
is populated when a new NGI is being created.
- ROD e-mail field was added at some point of time to GOCDB and to best
of our knowledge it is not linked in any way with this information in
Ops. Portal which if bad. Even worst is that to change this data in
GOCDB one needs to send an e-mail to GOCDB team.
- before we ask RODs to complete/update ROD data in GOCDB there are two
requirements:
a) ROD e-mail change propagates to Ops. Portal (TODO: ask Cyril about
that, priority: minor? - MR will do that)
b) ROD/NGI staff should be able to change the data on their own without
sending e-mails to anybody
