Agenda items with key outcomes:
Cryo-EM in the cloud: bringing clouds to the data:
- Upgrading production cluster hosted on CESNET metacloud site to latest version of Ubuntu
- Solved parallelisation issue concerning MPI and parallel NFS
- A request for HPC cloud access to SURFSara (not part of the EGI Fedcloud) will be submitted to SURFSara via the Utrecht partner
- Access to SurfSara will be achieved through native OpenNebula interface. (The same image that works at CESNET should work at SurfSara)
GPU portals for biomolecular simulations:
- Successful GPGPU access was demonstrated at the Florence grid site. AMBER portal is already using the GPGPUs
- GPGPU access will be provided in the CESNET cloud site, then WeNMR apps adopted there.
- Additional portals will come online later - first interfaces have been built
Integrating the micro- (WeNMR/INSTRUCT) and macroscopic (NeuGRID4you) virtual research communities:
- Setting up a MoBrain portal on the EGI cloud:
* Moved from INFN cloud site to CESNET site
* Accessible at https://mobrain.egi.eu
* Move content from MoBrain Wiki to the site (Public information)
* Alexandre to collect info for the website with input from all
* Members of MoBrain email list is at https://www.egi.eu/sso/groupView/cc-mobrain
* Provide feedback
- CVMFS for the NeuGrid software, Expand the NeuGrid VO to more sites
* Account was setup in EGI CVMFS, and was succesfully tested with dummy content
* Next step is to populate with data from NeuGrid pipelines
User support and training:
- March: CryoEM hands-on workshop (with CESNET & Taiwanese resources?) in Taiwan during ISGC (MoBrain & WestLife)
- April: INSTRUCT/MoBrain/WeNMR workshop is April at Surf in Utrecht
* Alexandre to finalise webpage about it. Then we all should advertise it! (participation is limited to 20)
- Have a failover setup for both events (CESNET & SurfSara)
- EGI Forum in Amsterdam (April 6-8)
* Propose contribution from the CC.
- Westlife project kick-off in two weeks from now in Oxford
