Roundtable updates from the CCs:
FUSION:
Assessing OneData vs B2Safe
- Almost there to run jobs in cloud with OneData
- More problematic with B2Safe, also affected by slow support at CINECA and PSNC
Started building workflows
DMCC+:
- Focus on dust distribution modelling and on tsunami
- WRF weather simulation and iCOMCOT --> Gergely to support registration in database
- Storm surge portal is under testing, release expected in Q2 2019
- Masterclass was organised at APAN in New Zealand
- Env. computing workshop and DMCC+ f2f are planned at ISGC2019
- 4 training events are planned for 2019, with focus on the 2 simulation portals
MARINE:
Progress with two CC tasks:
Task INFREMER
- Argo data files and B2Safe were slow so we switched to iRODS with data compression. Now data is pushed daily to the CSC infra
- Test document about Spark assessment: Quering big data in an interactive way --> Add to CC wiki page: https://wiki.eosc-hub.eu/display/EOSC/T8.3+Marine
- Cassandra assessment is ongoing
Task Uni of Liege: ...
Need for workplan update was raised during the last CC meeting, because of overlap with SeaDataCloud. Followed up with Gergely's involvement
EISCAT_3D
- EGI Check-in integration into DIRAC
- Metadata harvesting testing with B2Find and B2Share - where should it happen? We should start
- Find early adopters to gather feedback asap
- Getting access to compute resources at CSC: Still pending but it should be solved.
Updates from Gergely:
Commercialization support from WP9 (Hugo Cantão)
- WP9 can support the CCs in commercial engagement, commercialization. Contact Hugo Cantao <hugo@f6s.com> if interested
Tracking WP8 actions
- A new project (queue) was setup in Jira where actions will be recorded for the CCs. Bookmark this: https://jira.eosc-hub.eu/projects/EOSCWP8/issues/EOSCWP8-1?filter=allopenissues
- The queue is accessible also from the WP8 wiki page
- [All CCs] indicate in the ticket title if it's an action for all CCs. Indicate in comments in such tickets your progress/completion of the action

- This will be the first output of WP8 towards the EC. It's a Milestone, so it can be anything (not necessarily a document)

- Gergely proposed to satisfy this milestone by 8 wiki pages, 1 dedicated to each CC.
- The pages are based on the 'Requirements' page setup by WP10, but has CC-specific extensions. All CCs can find their Wiki page here: https://wiki.eosc-hub.eu/display/EOSC/Community+requirements+DB
- The pages share a common structure:

Sharing research data in EOSC

- EOSC Portal Launch: Nov 23 - We are finalising the EOSC Portal and EOSC-hub entries in it
- Project EC review: Will be in January. AMB works on agenda and how to present the WPs given the time limit and size of project
