Workshop on Data Management

This Data Management workshop is jointly organized by the EGI community with the ESCAPE and XDC H2020 projects, as a follow-up of the Federated Data Management session and the Design Your e-Infrastriucture Workshop of the EGI Conference 2019 event.
This workshop brings together scientific comunities and developers & providers of data services from XDC, ESCAPE and EGI with the goal to facilitate proof-of-concept and pilot setups that tackle the scientific communities' problems in data management.
During the workshop:
- XDC and ESCAPE project members will introduce the data-management solutions that are developed (or will be developed) in the context of those projects,
- representatives of invited scientific communities will introduce their data management challenges and needs, and
- attendees will form small groups to analyse the use cases, to match-make those with the offered/emerging solutions and to define proof-of-concept and pilot setups.
The main outcome of this worshop will be proof-of-concept and pilot use cases that will be implemented by XDC, ESCAPE and EGI in collaboration with the invited scientific communities. The event will also help the involved projects align their development activities and roadmaps for data management services.
The workshop is open to:
- Members of the XDC, ESCAPE projects and EGI,
- Invited scientific communities (PaNOSC, ASTRON and Agriculture JRC already confirmed)
