Summary

The VT (Virtual Team) created for CTA (Cherenkov Telescope Array) in EGI started on January 7th 2013. The presentation aims at showing the status of the VT after the end of the first half of its lifetime. It will be highlighted why this VT is important for both EGI and the CTA project, the VT composition, its main objectives, the plan for their accomplishment, what has been achieved until now and how to proceed during the second half of the VT. One of the most important objectives of the VT is to investigate how to put in place an IdF (Identity Federation) for the CTA collaboration given that it is the necessary precondition for the construction of a SSO authentication system for the whole collaboration. For this reason some slides are dedicated to this aspect, trying to identify possible solutions for an easy and quick deployment of such a dedicated IdF for CTA.
