Description
EGI’s sustainability plans have become increasingly coupled with its long-term strategy: connect researchers from all fields of science across the whole European Research Area (ERA) with the reliable and innovative ICT services from EGI that they need to undertake their collaborative world-class and world-inclusive research.
The EGI Outreach activity integrates and mobilises experts, tools and support from the community to engage with scientific communities and help them evolve into active and self-sufficient users of e-infrastructures.
This workshop will provide opportunity for scientific communities to present and discuss the status and plans of their use of EGI, and to discuss and resolve any outstanding issue with the EGI community. Particular attention will be given to the support projects that are run by EGI in collaboration with scientific communities (Virtual Teams, pilots, study cases, etc.)
Description of work
This abstract is a request for 2-3 sessions that would be the placeholder for presentations about community-engagement projects, such as Virtual Teams.
Presentations into the sessions will be allocated from the submitted abstracts, and from direct invitations.
Wider impact and conclusions
I don't see any track where this contribution could best fit, but probably it is acceptable in the
'Success stories in using e-Infrastructures for research' or in the 'Porting applications to the grid and cloud platform' track.
