Long tail of science platform, 2nd meeting (23 Oct 2014)

During the meeting the WG decided to run two parallel discussion. One in the meetings + mail about the architecture of the platform, technical architecture. Another one to start via mail to discuss the changes needed in the portal policy to allow such platform.
Architecture topics:
- User management portal features: robot certificates are the currently available solution, which is subject to portal policy. OnlineCA can be a solution, e.g. for edugain users, and has to be tested in production.
- Credential management
- Security features
Peter will prepare a high level architecture schema to be enough generic.
The pilot will focus in the very simplies solution: one VO, one credential management system, etc.
USER MANAGEMENT PORTAL
Peter: we have effort and we can try to do first set up with it be the end of
Inspire.
Process:
* provide information about user (basic information)
* request resources (default or more)
* approval (automatically if default, support person if other) enabling user in the VO and in the credential managment system
* provide links to scientific portals which can be used by use
Credential management service:
INFN circulated information about their solutions in the ML.
