Users shows a need for searches in the data for different purposes:
Search in the metadata (level 3) for statistical studies, to compare or
make models for climate changes, solar behaviors,...
Search in metadata and data to find events. A common way of study is that
a user finds a 'strange' event, want to see if it unique, and search for
similar events in the past. Hopefully to find the cause of the observed
response.
Need to combine searches between different instruments, like IS radar and
optics/satellites/other radars/... Seems easiest to interface via eventlists,
lists of time and location
Users want to access data from wherever. One obvious example was the
user located in SouthAfrica, but worked 25% for UK, but it's not unique.
