Overview of tasks & deliverables
- Petr provided an overview of tasks and activities. See slides attached to agenda.
- BBMRI NL to define who will contribute to the CC
- Key areas of contributions:
* BBMRI ERIC and its third parties - content
* KTH - Biobankcloud integration
* EGI - harmonisation of Biobankcloud with EGI
* CESNET - AAI, harmonisation of Biobankcloud with EGI
* Surfsara - ? --> Irene to define
* EUDAT: Petr is in regular contact with Peter Wittenburgh, representing both EUDAT and RDA
- Petr suggested rephrasing of tasks within the CC (see slide 11) --> Gergely to update the Wiki accordingly
- Task leaders:
    * T1 - BBMRI ERIC or a BBMRI third party? (David to discuss and report back)
    * T2 - KTH (heavy involvement of CESNET)
    * T3 - BBMRI ERIC
    * T4 - CESNET? (Ludek to confirm)
- There will be 4 formal milestones and deliverables towards the EC (slide 7, 8). These are due at Feb 2016, Oct 2016, Nov 2016, Aug 2017). These will be coordinated by BBMRI ERIC (the CC coordinator), but will need joint work from us all. (CESNET, KTH, EGI more prominent in the security-related topic, others in the data topic)

Use case:
- Genomics data processing in private clouds (See Petr's 5th slide)
- Relevant topics to this:
* HADOOP with EGI FedCloud
* Two-factor authentication
* Tracability of data access and handling (EUDAT?)
* Pilot deployment in some biobank

Status report of BiobankCloud
- Tutorial in Vienna on Nov 25: http://www.biobankcloud.com/?q=node/51 --> CESNET (Ludek) to send a person to this. Gergely to explore possible travel.
- Shibboleth implementation of Glassfish can be relevant for the 2-factor authentication in EGI integration
- The PaaS can currently run on EC2 and Bare metal. It creates instances on OpenStack with JClouds.
* JClouds talks to Nova, which is one of the interfaces exposed by OpenStack-based EGI FedCloud sites. Authentication is not the same, so the integration does not work out of the box.
* EGI is working on the integration of JClouds with OCCI. Timeline to be checked by Enol.
- EGI integration
- Identity confirmation by institutes for multi-factor authentication
- What's the big vision for the integration?
* Biobank to produce data and feed this onto EGI sites for storage? --> No because of security regulations.
* EGI together with Biobankcloud provide a software solution that can be setup and operated within Biobanks to create ans provide data products and services --> Yes. We need to refine this direction. Gergely to setup a doodle for a meeting for Biobankcloud and EGI FedCloud experts to further discuss this.

Upcoming events
- EGI Forum: Nov 10-13 in Bari. BBMRI presentation by Petr, FedCloud tutorial by Enol and Gergely
- BMB Symposium: Nov 17-18. EGI to have an exhibition booth, where EGI-related life science demos will be presented.
