Discussions

1. E-Infrastructure Overview, Carl-Fredrik together with Ingerma presented the new diagram of EISCAT-3D e-Infrastructure, which includes much more details. The group gave comments, including
   1. John rises the issue on network plan: “a 100Gbit/s line to each of the RX sites is not a MUST but a SHOULD. If 100Gb is very expensive then several 10Gbit lines will be sufficient. If the cost difference is negligible then a "single" 100Gbit line per RX station would be very well "future-proofed" for EISCAT_3D”
   2. Yin: 1) whether to move stage server into each archive 2) is the design easy for future extension.
   3. Only Small changes need to apply: 1) there may be more than one portal, e.g., data portal and operation portal. 
2. Meeting with LoFAR, Yin will set up Doodle to arrange teleconference with LoFAR technical people (16 Nov onwards)
3. Data Model, Yin made E-R model based on the information gathered so far. Ake comments that it’s better not to use database representation. Yin consider E-R Model is generic data model not related to technology (database or file), but she will change to use BLOB instead of VARCHAR. There are still many missing information. EISCAT agree to work on it before the next meeting.
