Description
The need for easy, reproducible and flexible package building has lead our team (AUTH) to the deployment of a package building infrastructure that is compatible with the architecture of the current grid middleware. To this end we have used Koji, a Fedora project (https://fedorahosted.org/koji/wiki), which is able to fulfill these requirements and moreover provide a reliable package building and repository managing infrastructure.
The AUTH deployment of Koji has already expanded to cover beyond the local requirements the needs of EGI-JRA1/SAM as well as other projects like Maui developments and gridinfo (BDII).
The Koji building infrastructure has moreover been complemented with a repository building facility which creates and updates the relevant YUM repositories based on the package tagging at the Koji service level.
