Description of the Work

This session will provide a summary view on the EGI vision and composition of the ecosystem. Secondly, the results of the value analysis of each component and the ecosystem as a whole will be presented. After that, the identified sustainability strategy for each participant or role will be described. The last part is dedicated to an open discussion. A post-event report will be produced to document the outcomes of the session.

Overview (For the conference guide)

A long-term sustainability strategy needs to be developed and continuously refined to derive plans that will solve both the current and future issues facing e-Infrastructures. This 2nd workshop dedicated to sustainability serves as a follow-up from the EGI Technical Forum in Lyon where a 2-session workshop covered sustainability plans from the various entities of the EGI Ecosystem comprising resource providers, technology providers and user communities and explored business models in the context of EGI. In this workshop, we will present the progress made to date and the content of the EGI Strategy Plan.
