Description
Overview:
This is a dedicated meeting to discuss milestone MS407. All relevant parts are gladly invited. We hope to have the ToC document skeleton ready and fix the different parts we want to describe by the end of the meeting. Furthermore we will shortly touch the status of the interoperability activities in general and present the current plans for the EGI Technical Forum sessions within the scope of our task.
Agenda:
1) MS 407
"Integrating Resources into the EGI Production Infrastructure"
This document describes and defines the operational interfaces that must be supported for resources to be integrated into the EGI production infrastructure. This includes Operational Tools provided by the JRA1 activity and procedures and policies defined by O6.
https://wiki.egi.eu/wiki/SA1_Milestones
Integration at the level of the operational tools
* Sort by MW, operational tool, or other sort?
*status quo, plans? (we can write in the milestone what we already know to be there , or that is in the process of being implemented. )
*Requirement list: sites running only a single MW stack, should be able to get full usage/integration with all operations tools
(e.g. for the unicore to be in the infrastructure it has to be able to select from the gocdb, nagios and accounting, define the critical tests, and put them in the cod dashboard, have 3rd level support in ggus)
possibly related: https://rt.egi.eu/rt/Ticket/Display.html?id=231
*Success-stories:
-arc is the most advanced in this respect. (GOCDB, nagios)
sites with arc and glite/dcache services.
-unicore is using glue2.0 for info systems, though they use xml, but that's just the transport, nagios probes are already developed and discussions going on on how to integrate them in the production version of nagios
Integration at the level of procedures and policies
* adding new NGI -> enhance for broader scope
* availability
* ..
Who has the best overview of the different aspects?
2) status of interoperability activities
