Summary

The Heliophysics community is starting to use workflows in these days.
The use of workflows has been introduced by the HELIO
(http://www.helio-vo.eu/) project and it is now been continued within
the SCI-BUS (https://www.sci-bus.eu/) and ER-FLOW
(http://www.erflow.eu/) projects.

In Heliophysics workflows are used to orchestrate the query of catalogs
with the execution of feature extraction codes and the execution of
propagation models to understand the relationships among events across
the entire Solar System.

The SHIWA platform proves to be very advantageous as it offers two key
functionalities: it allows the execution of workflows developed in a
variety of different platform to be executed in a single environment and
it gives them means of access.

Within the ER-Flow project we are porting workflows that have been
developed with the HELIO project with the aim of offering a scientific
tool for the analysis of the relationships among related events across
the Solar System.
