Description of Work
The EC-funded Helix Nebula project is a step towards a European cloud-based scientific e-Infrastructure composed of resources and services from commercial and publicly owned providers. This workshop is the third in a series of events focusing on interoperability and integration aspects. An initial list of recommendations has been published in May 2013 and actions for implementing them are undertaken. The event will offer an opportunity to present the results of some of the proposed recommendations and discuss the way forward. The topics that will be discussed are: progress on the open standards selection for federated infrastructure, security guidelines and recommendations, common requirements for service management in collaboration with the FedSM project, policies and business models for a mixed eco-system of publicly-funded and private organisations; agreed components for cloud contracts and service catalogues.
