The EGI-Engage project has a task to extend the current data management services to allow the publication of datasets that are the output of processing that takes into the EGI computing infrastructure. This will require the association of a PID to the datasets to be preserved.
Similarly we have a library of virtual appliances (applications and tools) for use in the cloud, that we would like to associate to PID for preservation and science repeatibility purposes.
I would like to understand if EGI-Engage can rely on THOR activities/services for this. I am available together with my colleagues for a short phone meeting.
Depending on the outcome of our conversation, this could generate a use case for the service catalogue coordination activity that the EC is steering.
