This session will be a general update on the status of the provided tools for EGI Network Support and on the IPv6-related activities.
Description of the Work
This session would be a face to face general meeting for all the EGI network support community to
-
Get informed of the progress on the available tools for Network Support
( HINTS, NetJobs, perfSONAR install DVD) -
Hear about the latest developments from
GEANT3 / DANTE about the perfSONAR Multi Domain
Monitoring service portfolio -
Get updated on the latest development on IPv6 and the IPv6-related on-going collaborations

Gather together f2f the members of the IPv6 working group to plan activities and testbed developments
Impact
The expected impact of this meeting is to update the NGIs about the tools made available by DANTE/GN3 and other, contributing NGIs for network support.
This will hopefully contribute to a wider adoption of the tools by NGIs to help sort out network related issues and perform network troubleshooting.
It will also provided the basis for efficient planning of next required features/developments.
The meeting will also ensure the EGI NGIs community is aware of the current level of support for IPv6 by the middleare and the operations tools.

Conclusions
We have found very effective in the past meeting f2f to discuss in person about network support - we think it will be also in this occasion.
It's also an important opportunity for human networking and get in touch for a community which is otherwise very scattered and fragmented, usually meeting only in VideoConferences.
