Ian Fisk
Impact
Ian Fisk is a physicist with the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, Illinois and currently resident at CERN. His initial research at the University of California San Diego was focused searching for the Higgs Boson using the L3 detector at the Large Electron Positron Collider. He joined the Fermilab Computing Division in 2003. He helped to design, commission, and operate the large scale distributed processing and data storage systems in support of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment. CMS is one of two general purpose detectors at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. He has served as the CMS Computing Coordinator since 2010.
