Researchers often face challenges in accessing and analysing the vast quantities of environmental data scattered across various sources. ENVRI-Hub NEXT, a Horizon Europe project, aims to revolutionise environmental research by providing a user-friendly platform that seamlessly connects researchers to data from leading environmental Research Infrastructures (ENVRI RIs). This platform empowers the ENVRI Science Cluster to deliver interdisciplinary services addressing critical environmental challenges like climate change and ecosystem loss.
Our vision is to harness the full potential of environmental data by facilitating interoperability across subdomains and focusing on Essential Climate Variables (ECVs). ENVRI-Hub NEXT champions the integration of ENVRI RIs, fostering collaboration and synergies.
Key features include a federated system of harmonised access platforms, a service management system, a robust technical architecture, tools for EOSC integration, a framework for ECVs, and comprehensive training materials. Through these tools and resources, ENVRI-Hub NEXT empowers researchers to address environmental challenges and bring environmental science to the next level.
